Following the impressive commercial momentum we have created by building our own Technical Sales team in the last 6 months, we are excited to be expanding the team with a further 5 specialist positions.
The aim is simple; to drive growth and support promotion across our Arco brand ranges where possible, and proprietary ranges, for specific product categories including Gloves, Footwear, Hazard Wear, Clothing, Factory Equipment, Hygiene and PPE.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you’ll own one of the specific categories, growing sales across Arco brand and proprietary products in current customers, as well as driving new business wins. Alongside selling, you’ll work very closely with our sales teams, acting as the subject matter expert to upskill product knowledge, and unlock greater value across key accounts, helping to capitalise on our Build for Growth strategy.
The Technical Sales Specialist roles are nationally based, and you will spend most of your time visiting customers. We are therefore open on location across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering a UK business development strategy focused on one or more of Gloves, Footwear, Hazard Wear, Clothing, Factory Equipment, Hygiene or PPE product categories, aligned to overall commercial objectives
- Identifying, targeting, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships and selling solution led product propositions.
- Supporting our sales teams through joint customer visits, demonstrations, and solution building discussions
- Building strong relationships with end users, procurement teams, health & safety professionals, and operational stakeholders
- Supporting customer trials, product evaluations, and standardisation initiatives
- Selling into a variety of sectors, and adapting sales approach to suit different risk profiles, working environments, and customer needs
- Maintaining strong awareness of EN ISO standards for specific category of products if relevant
- Providing guidance to customers and internal teams on product selection, performance ratings, and correct usage
- Demonstrate awareness of product category standards to support credible product conversations and translating technical information into clear commercial and safety benefits
- Acting as a subject matter expert for your products within the sales organisation and leading internal upskilling activities
- Tracking developments in the UK product market, including competitor activity, innovation, and pricing dynamics, and providing insight and feedback to commercial, category, and marketing teams to support range development and go to market strategy

The ideal Technical Sales Specialist be/have:
- Commercially focused and solution orientated with proven experience in business development or technical sales in the UK safety product market, including applications and customer buying drivers
- Awareness of EN ISO standards applicable to your product category
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence customers and internal sales teams
- A confident trainer and coach, with experience of developing and supporting wider sales teams
- Background in PPE manufacturing, distribution, or category focused sales roles
- Customer focused with a collaborative mindset
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating autonomously
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
